The Star Canopy Cabin is a great twist on our 9sqm Star Cabin, as it is made even better with the addition of a three-meter canopy out the front! This cabin is designed for those who love the idea of having the practical use of a SheShed, while still also being able to relax outside with plenty of additional shelter from rain and sun. It is a great multifunctional space that can be versatile for many uses such as a guest house, spare bedroom, office space, hair studio, beauty therapy, home business, kids retreat, granny flat, bach or holiday house extension... basically whatever your space needs, this SheShed is the solution!
One of our display cabins at the Nelson SheShed office is the Star Canopy Cabin. We have it set up as a shabby chic bedroom with a small office, so visitors coming into the display can see the potential of the cabin, as well as an idea space and size in relation to the furniture inside, as well as the feel too.
We have furnished the Star Canopy SheShed with a classic king single bed as well as a generous desk and chair for the office. The French doors and top hung window are both double glazed and provide great natural lighting into the interior of the cabin. As a feature, we decided to leave the internal window and door frames, as well as the roof beams exposed as a contrast to the painted white interior. This suits the shabby chic look we were going for, as well as the surroundings - which is semi rural with nearby vineyards and fields.
The inside furnishings are neutral and modern as a small contrast to the cabin, while we have also added some fresh pot plants to the outside entrance. The verandah was built separately from the Star Canopy Cabin, but anyone building this cabin can customise the patio/deck area to be anything from timber decking, a smooth concrete patio, or even a tiled look - the choice is yours! Finally, the outside of this SheShed is finished off with a gentle light grey paint. We are just in love with this cabin - and when you come to visit it, you will love it too!
