SheSheds are pre-approved as accessory buildings for things like home offices, storage sheds, and sleepout accommodation. So as long as you follow the build instructions and are not building close to your property boundary, than in most cases you can build without the need for getting council consent.
SheSheds are specifically designed for DIY building. This makes them ideal for times like this when qualified builders are in high demand with long wait times. Anyone who could build a deck or basic wooden fence will easily be able to follow our step by step instructions. For example, you can build a 3x3m Star Cabin in only 2-4 days.
Most of our SheShed kitsets are In Stock, Right Now, ready to deliver to your property, (As long as road access is open). Roof tiles are included. Double glazed doors and windows are included. timber cieling, walls and flooring are all included.

SheShed cabins come as flatpack kitsets that are delivered to your property by a Hiab truck, you will need to follow the included instructions to assemble the cabin on site, (or hire a builder/handyperson to build for you). See our blog: What do I use for my She Shed Foundation?
Backyard cabins like this are not considered a tiny home and can not replace your house. To qualify for exemption from council consent for accommodation purposes, a kitset cabin must include a working smoke alarm and have access to onsite sanitary facilities.
