Bring On Summer - Here Are Some Of Our Staple Holiday Cocktail Recipes!

Christmas and the holidays are just so much fun! There’s the music, the tree, the classic Christmas movies, the lights and the beautiful decorations. Luckily, we get given the added bonus of it being Summer as well! Beachside memories, picnics in the park, sizzling barbeques and family camping trips – it is undoubtedly one of the best times of the year. In this blog, we have decided to bring a little holiday cheer of our own and give you our top three staple holiday cocktails!

So, bring out the seasonal platters, fruits and dishes and get ready to wow your guests with your chosen holiday drinks this summer!

Strawberry Daiquiri

Strawberry Daiquiri literally looks like Christmas in a glass. What makes it amazing is that it is loaded with beautiful, fresh seasonal strawberries! This cocktail is dangerously easy to slurp back with its delightful slushy consistency – making it perfect for those warmer days by the poolside. For those who wish to make this drink alcohol free, just replace the rum with apple juice – it will still be a crowd winner!  

Tequila Sunrise

A good Tequila Sunrise is an oldie but a goodie! It is easy to whip up, refreshing and is a fabulous addition to your brunch table. The wonderful “sunrise” effect does not require any magical skills as the grenadine (a pomegranate flavoured syrup) is thick enough that it sinks gracefully to the bottom of the glass and then looks as if it rises up – just like a sunrise. The trick here is to not stir the cocktail after adding the grenadine – otherwise you will end up with a rather pink drink!

Piña Colada

This is one of the world’s most famous summer drinks, and you can see why this tropical stunner is loved by all! A good Piña Colada is the perfect summer staple with its refreshing and sweet taste, especially with its winning blend of creamy coconut and punchy pineapple. Nothing says summer holidays like bringing the tropics of a Piña Colada into your own backyard – especially when it's served in your very own DIY pineapple cup!
